CCSC In The Community: 2012 | 2011 | 2010 | 2009 | 2008

The mission of the Cherokee County Saddle Club is to promote trail riding through member trail rides, training, education, fellowship and the development of horse trail systems. To that end, the club supports various community activities. Some of those activities are:

  • Since 2007 we have provided volunteer hours and partial funding for the development of the Garland Mountain horse and hike trail in Cherokee County.
  • We support the 4-H program in Cherokee County
  • Our donations helped purchase a horse manequin used by the Milton Fire Department to train for horse rescues.
  • We feature educational speakers at our meetings which are open to the public.
  • We sponsor rider training clinics on topics such as despooking, protecting yourself from assault when on the trail, and equine massage.
  • We participate in community events such as parades, and man booths providing public information on topics such as composting
